Abstract
Description
An spruchs 1.The invention relates to a light barrier grid according to the preamble of the saying 1.
Such a light barrier grid is known from DE 39 39 191 C2. The Transmitting elements of the light barrier grid each emit a sequence of pulse Pause-modulated light pulses, which represent certain identifiers. These identifiers are chosen so that, with the exception of one transmission element all transmission elements emit the same sequence of light pulses. Preferably these are double light pulses. A sending element becomes Synchronization uses and emits a sequence of four pulse pause Consequences. The timing of the impulses and their number is received evaluated, d. H. the entire Identifier can be recognized by a receiving element.
The disadvantage here is that, with one exception, all transmission elements are diesel Issue identifier. This can result in incorrect reception if for example, the activation of the receiving elements is not synchronized with The transmission elements are activated.
Another disadvantage is that two are close to each other Arranged light barrier grids can mutually influence what can also lead to false signals.
For example, is the beam path of a first light barrier grating through a Object interrupted, false signal can arise from the fact that light pulse se of a second light barrier grid, for example by mirroring on the Hit the receiving elements of the second light barrier grid.
Finally, it is disadvantageous that several of each transmission element Light pulses must be emitted to ensure a sufficiently safe transfer guarantee. This leads to a relatively long cycle time for the light barrier grille.
To be able to use several systems in parallel NEN, the infrared information signals are encrypted several times. So be for example, pulse coding in the form of a code word and another coding by sending this code word on a specific one Carrier frequency performed. In addition, an identifier can also be identified by a lead code word or a start bit can be reached. Through this coding it is achieved that a receiver responds only to those transmitters that its Code, but not on third-party channels.
Such systems have a high level of transmission security, however is their use in light barrier grids due to the high cycle time only possible to a very limited extent.
Within a first time window a transmitter sends at least two times in a second and at least one pulse groups of encoded light lying in a third time window. Of the Receiver checks whether within the second and at least third time frames The received pulse groups have a valid code. A disturbance Free operation is when at least one pulse group is recognized as valid has been.
The size of the time window is at the maximum frequency that occurs in practice adapted stray light. In particular, the duration of the first time window dimensioned so that usual sources of interference within this time window only emit an interference pulse so that at least one of the second and received at least third time window emitted pulse groups without interference becomes.
If the transmission processes are repeated cyclically, it is possible that a har monic harmonic of the stray light in the second and at least third time frames falls and leads to a malfunction. To largely eliminate this close the second and at least third time window are asymmetrically inner arranged half of the first time window.
This system also works with the transmission of coded pulse groups and has a correspondingly high cycle time.
The invention has for its object a light barrier grid type mentioned as safe as possible with a short cycle time to build.
The features of claim 1 are provided to achieve this object. Advantageous embodiments and expedient further developments of the Erfin tion are described in claims 2-10.
According to the invention, pulse-pause-modulated ones are emitted by the transmission elements zel light pulses emitted. This means that after activation of a be agreed transmission element of the light pulse with a predetermined delay time is emitted. The light pulse is included in the associated receiving element the corresponding delay registered. The duration of the light pulse as well the delay time can be chosen to be very short, which means that the Cycle time of the light barrier grid can be realized.
The light pulses are emitted by the transmitter elements with different ver delay times emitted. These different delay times will registered at the receiving end and translated into bit values or bit sequences. In a be particularly advantageous embodiment are two different delays tion times t₁ and t₂ used that encode the bit values zero and one.
By evaluating the identifiers of the light pulses of the transmission elements a bit pattern is generated in the receiver controller for each cycle is compared with a setpoint bit pattern, thereby determining can check whether the light barrier grid is working properly.
The setpoint bit pattern can be chosen arbitrarily. Thus, under different light barrier grids of the same design completely different target have value bit patterns. In this way, mutual influence solution of various light barrier grids excluded with great certainty will.
Es zeigen:The invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. It demonstrate:

In Fig. 1, a light barrier grid 1 is shown schematically. In a transmitter bar 1 a, a plurality of transmission elements 2 are arranged side by side. The transmission elements 2 emit transmission light 3 in the form of light pulses. Desglei Chen several receiver elements 4 are arranged side by side in a receiver bar 1 b. In each case an oppositely arranged Sendeele element 2 and receiving element 4 form a cooperating pair. The transmission elements 2 are preferably formed by light-emitting diodes, each of which has a transmission optics 5 , which is expediently formed by a lens, for focusing the transmission light 3 . The receiving elements 4 are formed by photodiodes, which are each arranged behind an optical receiving system 6 . The receiving optical system 6 is also formed of a lens and concentrated trated the received light to the receiving element. 4
The individual pairs of transmitter 2 and receiver elements 4 can be activated cyclically one after the other via the transmitter 7 and receiver controller 8 , so that the transmission of light pulses from the transmitter elements 2 takes place synchronously with the reception of the respectively assigned receiver elements 4 . Only the receiving element 4 of a pair expediently remains activated continuously. This pair is used to synchronize the remaining pairs.
According to the invention, a sequence of pulse-pause-modulated light pulses for synchronizing the light barrier grating 1 is emitted by the first transmission element 2 at the beginning of the cycle. Then the remaining pairs of transmitting 2 and receiving elements 4 are activated synchronously. The transmitter elements send out 2 pulse-position-modulated single light pulses. These modulated individual light pulses correspond to certain bit values that are decoded in the receiver controller 8 . The bit sequence so obtained is compared in the receiver controller 8 with a predetermined value sequence that has been input to the receiver controller 8 prior to operation of the light barrier grid. 1 This bit sequence corresponds to the coding of the emitted light pulses. If the received bit sequence agrees with the setpoint bit sequence, the light barrier grid works correctly.
The principle of operation of the transmitter 7 and receiver controller 8 is described in detail in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3.
The transmitter control 7 has an oscillator 9 , which generates a clock frequency preferably in the high frequency range. The oscillator 9 is connected on the one hand via leads to transmitter drivers 10 which are connected upstream of the transmission elements 2 . As a result, high-frequency modulation of the individual light pulses is achieved, which results in increased immunity to external influences such as external light, which, for. B. generated by strobe lamps or fluorescent tubes is achieved.
In addition, the oscillator 9 is guided to a counter 11 . One of the outputs of the counter 11 is led to a switching mechanism 12 . In the switching mechanism 12 , the time intervals T₀, T₄, T₃ and T₅ shown in Fig. 4 are generated. The time intervals T₀ and T₄ are read into a first logic unit 13 , the output of which is led to the transmitter driver 10 of the first transmission element 2 . The Zeitin intervals T₃ and T₅ are read into further logic units 13 , the outputs of which are guided to the transmitter drivers 10 of the remaining transmission elements 2 . A coding is read into the further logic units 13 via an interface module 14 , which in the present example consists of the bit sequence 01101.
The counter 11 is also routed to an input of a decoder 15 , the outputs of which are routed to the individual transmitter drivers 10 to activate the transmitter elements 2 .
The counter 11 , the switching mechanism 12 , the decoder 15 and the logic units 13 are advantageously integrated in a microcomputer. In this case, the logic units 13 and the switching mechanism 12 can consist of software modules. In this case, the interface module 14 is formed by inputs of the microcomputer.
The receiver controller 8 has a multiplexer 16 , on the inputs of which the receiving elements 4 are guided. The multiplexer 16 is connected to a switching mechanism 17 . The switching mechanism 17 is preferably formed by a Mikrocom computer. The switching mechanism 17 has an interface module 18 for the allocation of a code. The coding corresponds to the coding stored in the transmitter control 7 . An oscillator 19 , which is identical to the oscillator gate 9 of the transmitter control 7 , is guided to a further input of the switching mechanism 17 . An output of the multiplexer 16 leads to an amplifier 20 , which is guided via a demodulator 21 and a pulse shaper 22 to the switching mechanism 17 . Another output is passed to a further interface module 23 , which can be designed, for example, as a relay.
The mode of operation of the transmitter 7 and receiver control 8 can be seen in particular from FIG. 4. The pulse diagram of the light pulses registered in the receiver control 8 is shown there. The chronological sequence of the light pulses impinging on the receiving elements 4 corresponds to the chronological sequence of the light pulses emitted by the transmitting elements 2 , so that FIG. 4 also describes the time behavior of the transmitting elements 2 .
In FIG. 4, a cycle is shown, is activated once in each of the transmission elements 2. The transmission elements 2 are activated one after the other for the time interval T F via the decoder 15 . In the present exemplary embodiment, T F = 8T, where T is the pulse duration of the clock specified by the counter 11 .
Im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel ist T₀ = 0 und T₄ = 4T.The first transmitting element 2 emits two individual light pulses for synchronization of the receiving elements 4 within T F. For this purpose, the times T₀ and T₄ are read from the switching mechanism 12 via the logic unit 13 into the transmitter driver 10 . T₀ and T₄ correspond to the time intervals between activation of the first transmission element 2 and transmission of the first and second light pulses. In the present exemplary embodiment, T₀ = 0 and T₄ = 4T.
The remaining transmission elements 2 then send out pulse-position-modulated individual light pulses in succession during the time intervals T F within which they are activated. The pulse position modulation results from the coding, which is read into the logic units 13 of the microcomputer via the interface module 14 . The reading can be done by means of a programming device during a learning phase before using the light matrix. 1
In the present example, the coding consists in the specification of a bit value (zero or one) for each transmission element 2 . Depending on whether the bit value is zero or one, a delay time t₁ = T₃ or t₂ = T₅ is selected in the individual logic units 13 , T₃ = 3T and T₅ = 5T being selected in the present exemplary embodiment. With these delay times, the individual light pulses are emitted after activation of the respective transmission elements 2 . Thus, by specifying the coding on the interface module 14, a transmission of pulse-position-modulated individual light pulses by the transmitting elements 2 (No. 2-6 in FIG. 4) is achieved.
The transmitter drivers 10 consist essentially of AND gates. Only if the activation by the decoder 15 is given, a light pulse is released after the respective delay time t₁ or t₂, which is modulated with the carrier frequency.
The incident on the receiving elements 4, light pulses are converted in the multi-plexer 16 into a serial signal sequence and evaluated in series (Fig. 4 last line). In the amplifier 20 , the received signals are amplified and then demodulated in the demodulator 21 . In order to eliminate signal distortions, the received signals in the pulse shaper 22 are converted into square wave signals.
The two light pulses received by the first transmission element 2 are used for synchronization. The first receiving element 4 expediently remains activated during the entire cycle. As soon as the pulse edge of the first light pulse is registered, a time frame counter is set to o in the switching mechanism 17 and started. If the pulse edge of the second light pulse is recognized within T F at time T₄, then the synchronization light pulses are recognized and the time frame counter is reset to zero after reaching T F = 8T ( FIG. 4, first line).
The counting up to the time T F is then repeated continuously until the cycle has ended. In the subsequent intervals T F , the pulse-pause-modulated light pulses are read into the switching mechanism 17 via the multiplexer 16 and decoded there. For this purpose, the delay times t 1 and t 2 of the individual light pulses are registered. Each delay time t₁ the bit value 0 and each delay time t₂ the bit value 1 is assigned. The bit sequence thus obtained is read as a code word serially into a register in the switching mechanism 17 .
This bit sequence represents the actual values recorded during a cycle for the registered identification of the light pulses. These actual values are compared with the coding which is read in via the interface module 18 and forms the setpoints. The coding as the target code word is read in via the interface module 18 in the same way as in the transmitter controller 7 . Likewise, the predetermined coding is the same as the coding read into the transmitter control 7 . Accordingly, if the actual values match the target values bit by bit, the operation of the light barrier grating 1 is error-free.
Im Fehlerfall nimmt das Statusbit den Wert null an.In this case, a status bit is set to the value one in the switching mechanism 17 . In the event of an error, the status bit assumes the value zero.
If the value of the status bit is one after the end of the cycle, the received light pulses are evaluated as valid signals. If, on the other hand, the status bit assumes the value zero, the received signals are rejected and the light barrier grid 1 is synchronized again.
For error control, the status bit can be read out via the interface module 23 , which is preferably formed by a relay.
If the beam path is clear, the entire target code word is registered in the receiver controller 8 . However, if an object enters the beam path, not all light impulses reach the associated receiving element 4 . However, some of the light pulses are still received correctly and can therefore be evaluated. In this case, the target code word can be partially registered. The missing parts are not due to a malfunction but to an object intervention.
In this case, the status bit can also be assigned the value one, since all light pulses that have been received are error-free. An error message occurs in this case only if 4 light pulses are received from a receiving element within a time interval T F , which deviate from the setpoint coding.
