Dexter alum David Zayas has booked a series regular role in Hulu’s original drama series Shut Eye. The series, from creator Les Bohem, Tri-Star Television and Mark Johnson’s Gran Via Productions, takes a darkly comedic look at the underground world of Los Angeles storefront psychics and the organized crime syndicate that runs them. The story revolves around Charlie Haverford (Jeffrey Donovan), a disgruntled player in the organization who finds his cynical worldview challenged when he starts to experience visions that may or may not be real. Zayas will play Eduardo Bernal, a powerful businessman who comes to Charlie for spiritual advice. Zayas stars in Tallulah opposite Ellen Page, which was acquired by Netflix just ahead of this year’s Sundance Film Festival. He also has a major supporting role in upcoming feature The Lennon Report and appeared in Helen Hunt’s Ride. He’s repped by Innovative Artists, ATA Management, and Schreck Rose Dapello & Adams LLP.
Megyn Price (Rules Of Engagement) has landed a recurring role on Netflix’s new multi-camera comedy series The Ranch, starring Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Sam Elliott and Debra Winger. Written by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, The Ranch is set on a Colorado ranch, where a semi-pro football player (Kutcher) returns home after a brief career to run the family business with his brother (Masterson). Price, repped by APA and Leslie Allan-Rice Management, will play Mary, Masterson’s love interest. Price most recently starred in Lifetime move A Country Christmas Story. Other TV credits include seven seasons in the role of Audrey Bingham on CBS comedy Rules Of Engagement, and lead roles on such series as Common Law, Lateline, Grounded For Life, and American Dad.
