Sharon Leal Hits Back At Interracial Dating Criticsm: 'I Love Black Men'

Sharon Leal has hit back at criticism she receives for dating outside of her own race, saying that she "loves black men."

The actress is currently dating choreographer Paul Becker, a white man, and of course, has been questioned as to why she chose not to date a black man. Sharon explained in a recent interview that she didn't choose to fall in love with someone outside her own race, and has insists that she still likes black men.

"There is this misconception that if you are in an interracial relationship that you are somehow, branded as somebody that doesn't like brothers," Sharon told Bossip.

"That's like a ridiculous place to go with it, and I know that people go there. That's probably the most frustrating thing because I love black men. I'm a black woman, and I definitely don't discriminate. It's really just about being open. You don't choose who you're with, you can't choose who you fall in love with and who you connect with."

"I will say, that I hope that if you see me with someone who isn't black, you don't just automatically assume that I don't like black people, or I don't like black men, because that is just proposterous."
