Daytime Emmys EXCLUSIVE: Joely Fisher texted Kris Jenner after Khloe Kardashian 'stole' her 12-year-old daughter True's name

Joely Fisher is an old friend of Kardashian momager Kris Jenner.

So the singer and actress didn't hesitate to get in touch when she heard the name of Khloe Kardashian's new baby, True.

'I know Kris and I texted her immediately, "You stole my name!"' the smiling 50-year-old told DailyMail.com exclusively backstage at the Daytime Emmys on Sunday night.

Laughing, Joely said her True, the middle of three daughters with cinematographer Christopher Duddy, was not upset to have her name given to the newest Kardashian.

'You know, she's a tiny baby and my daughter is 12,' said Joely, who has known the Kardashian siblings for years. 'So, it's OK. She doesn't care. Maybe she'll babysit her.'

And while the moniker might be unusual, it suits 12-year-old True Harlow, who has sisters Skylar Grace and Olivia Harlow.

Said Joely: 'It's a beautiful name and my daughter fits amazing.'

As for Kris, she has insisted Khloe's name choice was inspired by her relatives.

Alongside a picture of pink balloons, she wrote on Instagram after the name announcement: 'FUN FACT... my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton....my Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton...so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!"

Joely, the daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Connie Stevens, first met Kris when they bonded while taking part in a charity ski trip.

The 50-year-old former Ellen star explained: 'You know, we used to go on these crazy trips, these celebrity ski adventure, charity things all the time. We had the time of our livesand we got back to LA and she would text me like "Meet me at Billy Braggs. At 6am."'

Joely spoke after her moving performance at the Grammys, having taken to the stage to sing during the In Memoriam segment.

She said she found her time on stage emotional, as she could see the audience reacting to the photos of the late stars behind her.

'It was so hard to keep it together, having such a tragic loss in my own family this year,' she explained, referring to her half-sister Carrie, who died in December 2016.
