Letters on Astronomy was first published in 1840 and is reprinted from the revised edition of 1851 which includes numerous diagrams integrated with the text.

There have been books on individual black soldiers, but this is the first to tell the full story of the black American military experience, starting with the Revolution & culminating with Desert Storm.
