There is a serious design flaw here. The idea is that the child touches pictures and the book 'says' the word. The problem is it require precise touching of the picture of interest. Toddlers don't do that. Their hands, arms, etc... go everywhere so the book will be saying the name of a picture that part of their arm is on, when they are pointing with their pointer finger to another object.

In addition to the book saying the word it also provides a sound effect FOR EVERY WORD. These are TERRIBLE, often go on much longer than it takes to say the word itself, and you just want them to stop. For instance, what does a table sound like? Shorts? Purple? It's incredibly annoying.

I was disappointed with the LeapFrog Learning Friends 100 Words book. The concept seemed promising, but the execution fell flat. The illustrations are bland, lacking the vibrant colors that engage young children. The words selected are often repetitive and not as diverse as I'd hoped, which makes it less effective for vocabulary building. Additionally, the audio features are glitchy, making it frustrating for kids to use. Overall, it feels more like a missed opportunity than an educational tool. I expected much more from LeapFrog, and this product just didn’t deliver.

I was very surprised at how wonderful this toy was for the price. There's no pen to look out for there's no extra pages. You gotta change out everything's included and it's super easy to touch the picture without having to touch it really hard. I'm gonna buy every one of these that they have for my great grandbaby thank you.
