Hmmmmm, lots of thoughts

I like it okay, I guess. My son bought for me either last year or the year before even though I have another coffeemaker that makes either a pot or the K-type cup coffee. He has been the main one using the Keurig. I had cleaned it a few times using vinegar but this time, it totally stopped working after I finished the rinsing cycle. I tried to find a solution to fix it, and some people have been able to, but we couldn't even get it apart to try to push the re-set button that is inside. While researching this, I came across several videos and articles about this happening to many people, which leads me to believe that there is some kind of design flaw with these machines. I think it's so dumb to have a re-set button inside of something like this instead of it being accessible. Feels deceptive to me and a way to get you to just buy another one.

Anyway, to this one. I bought this to replace the other one that broke. I got it because my son likes it, and he will be moving out soon so he can take it with him. This came up as an early Black Friday deal. I thought maybe it was on sale for only that day so I decided to go on and order it. I wanted to get a certain color but when I clicked on the color I wanted, it said they were out of stock. I decided to go with something else. The next day, I was surprised to see that they were still on sale so I went to see if I could order the color I wanted. It irritates me that the color I wanted was available. Now, I received this within a day or so it didn't come from a long way. I was also in our local Walmart a couple of days ago and saw this on that sale in the store. They had every color available. Had I known it wasn't an internet only special, I would have waited and got it when I went shopping. I just don't like how they presented this sale.
Wait until it's on sale before you buy.

It has pros and cons. I deducted two stars for the cons: 1) Extremely stiff power cord, 2) removeable water tank is not as easy to properly replace as it should be, 3) brewing process is not as quiet as some reviewers are saying.

I ordered this in Red initially but it is a weird shade of red that didn't fit in my red, white and black kitchen. So, I returned that for Black, which is okay looking but nothing special.

This Keurig earns three stars because of its ease of use and the fact that it makes excellent coffee and does it fast. I got a couple reusable K-cups so I can use my own coffee blends but I also got some pre-filled disposable cups and the coffee is fantastic either way.

The machine is loud when it brews, though not as loud as others that I have tried. It isn't annoyingly or excessively loud, but some reviews say it brews quietly so I thought I should mention that that might not be the case with the one you get.

I got this on sale so I am happy with my purchase. I would recommend this single-serve Keurig without hesitation as long as you are aware that it isn't perfect. It is a good buy for under $30 but I personally do not feel it is worth more. I would have returned it if I had paid full price.
I'm a simple man with simple requirements

I've had this Keurig for roughly a little over 6 months with a daily one or two cup of coffee addiction. This machine provides me a cup in three possible sizes (6, 8, and 10 oz) and doesn't require me to make an entire pot entirely for myself. It's reliable, quick, and very very simple to use. Plus, Great Value carries all the same flavors as Keurig in the K-cup sizes, so I don't have to spend Starbucks amounts of money for my coffee (I tend to like the Great Value brand taste better too).

There's only one thing that bugs me about this machine and it's the reason it gets three stars for operation... The descale light will come on roughly a month or two after purchase. Even if you follow the step by step Keurig video walking you through a nuclear-plant-safety-level cleaning, the light will not turn off. Apparently there's a way to trick the light to turn off, but I got annoyed at that point an handled it the same way I handled my old VHS player light. It's a coffee maker, not a thermal reactor. If someone doesn't ever clean it because they never got a reminder to clean what they consume out of, the result is called thinning the herd and it's a good thing.
Love these little machines!

I love these little coffeemakers. My husband likes the kind where you have to grind the beans, pour in a pot of water, drink half of it and save a half pot for tomorrow.
Not me, I like a fresh cup every time. (My favorite coffee is Paul Newman's medium roast K-cups and Walmart carries those, too) Last year these nifty little coffeemakers were on sale for $39 (reg $59) and I got one and it's still working great. This year they were on sale for $29 (reg $59). WHAT???? I got two. Smile. Over the years I've purchased several of the more expensive ones at Costco and they only last until it is time to descale and the heat of the descale process pops the thermostat switch and you can only throw the machine away after that. Such a ripoff. These little cheapos are the way to go. I have one in the basement where I like to read before anyone else in the house is up, one in the kitchen, one at work. I might go get one more for insurance before the sale is over. Don't hesitate. Great little machine.
