I didn't know whether I should rate based on the ones that fit, or on the consistency of the fit which I feel would be no more than 3 stars. These are my favorite jeans but I can try on several pairs in the same size, and model, and they will fit differently!! Some say it depends on where they are made (shown on inside label) but I don't find that to be true-going by the many ones I have bought over the years. Some fit higher in the waist than others, some fit tighter (same size) some are longer etc., The other negative I have is that the leg seams aren't always sewn correctly or even. Nothing irritates me more than having a seam come up in the front of the leg even partially. With that all said I love these jeans when they fit-they are my favorite brand but just wish sizing etc was consistent. The last few times I ordered several at once (3 6 & 3 8s) and the fit was too large on a size 8-more like a size 10 (in the legs)! and I have some 8s that fit well and fit similar to my 6's in the legs. I normally wear size 6 but prefer the bigger waist in the 8s. Most of my jeans are 6 but last 3 I ordered, only one fit correctly & I have to say they fit a bit baggier than I like or than my other 6s! I decided to keep them incase I ever gain weight. Liked the longer length on these than others. My suggestion is when they go on sale use your kohls card and order several if you like them and take back the ones that don't fit before your payment is due on your kohls card. The charge usually comes off the bill in about 3 days. I hope they start making these more consistent as right now I'm a bit disappointed as I would have kept more had they been.

Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Classic Women's Straight Jeans has to be the best jeans around for a woman who likes her jeans to fit at her waistline and fits her hips snug. I wear an 8 Regular and can usually find what I am looking for, as mentioned before the type of fit I like. I have been buying Vanderbilt jeans for over twenty years and have always loved how they fit and laundered. This time I wasn't so pleased. When the jeans arrived, I was so excited. Then I tried them on and realized that I would be returning them to JC Penney. They were more like a size a 10 or 12. I was so disappointed. When I returned them, I went to the Ladies department to try on other Vanderbilt jeans in an 8 regular. After trying on numerous pairs, finally I found a pair that fit at the waist and hugged my hips. Let me tell you what I discovered. Vanderbilt jeans made in Egypt and China fit the best of all. Jeans made in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Jordan, Kenya, etc...are a waste of time to try on.

I bought four pair of these Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda slacks at the exact same time. When they arrived, one pair was the correct length for me, but three pair were too long and will have to be hemmed. I have been buying this brand and style for several years, and they fit perfectly. I cannot understand why I am going to have to hem three pair. If all four pair had been too long, I might assume that I have gotten a little bit shorter as older women tend to do. But since one pair is correct and three pair are wrong, there's something wrong with the manufacturing. I considered returning them Because I would rather make an entire outfit from scratch then hem one pair of pants. Besides, there was no guarantee that I would have any better luck with three new pair than I had with the three pair I just bought. I would give these pants five stars if not for this problem.

I bought several pair of these jeans. The blue jean ones and the "rinse noir" were absolutely perfect!! The long ones were a great length and they fit well without stretching out after wearing for a while. I saw that they also offered white and black ones so I ordered them also. These were terrible!! They stretched out SO MUCH that they were VERY BAGGY!! I returned them and ordered the next smaller size in long. First of all, they weren't LONG. Then they were such a smaller size that I could barely pull them up over my butt and the zipper/button was about 2 inches apart and couldn't be closed. Terrible size markings on them also - inside the pants waistband said "4", the paper tags said "4Long" and the other tag inside the pants said "4 long". They were definitely NOT long. No quality control when making/labeling them. Sad because I really like the first two pair!!
