Got this for a family member. I caved on getting her the 11 inch & opted for the 13. It IS a big bit of real estate but as it's now her main device it makes sense. The screen resolution is very impressive & it copes well running several, resource heavy, apps simultaneously.
This was a replacement for an older iPad which Apple bricked the battery on via an update( literally. Instantly & from there on the battery more than halved it's endurance). Not AO's fault of course. Whilst that was annoying this new product & version is a step change & according to her it's like a totally new bit of tech in comparison.
Having looked over at the screen when running HD movies I'm inclined to agree.
If you're on the fence about replacing I can genuinely say this version & size is worth the sticker price & runs efficiently & effectively day-2-day.
I say all the above whilst, personally, not even liking Apple product for my own use. So nothing I've said is even remotely from a 'fanboy' POV.
[Rewarded Review] Closing in on being a Laptop replacement. Great!

My 1st iPad was purchased on April 3, 2010, the release date of the original model. This iPad Air M2 is #5. My uses for them has grown over the last 14 1/12 years such that the current model is a near laptop replacement. It garners more usage daily than my Intel-based MacBook Air and has surpassed my iPhone for many tasks.

256GB storage, 8Gb ram, and Apple Intelligence make it eminently useful especially with the Apple Pencil and a keyboard case. Lighter, more portable, faster, longer battery life, and with a screen that is brighter and sharper than the MB Air, it is taking over more daily tasks. The tablet it replaced, an 8 1/2 year old (original) iPad Pro 9.7, seems closer to the iPad Gen 1 than this model.

Highly recommend. In use for 13 days. Consider the Air M2 over the Pro M4 unless you really need the extra power and features.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful device Nice and big

I waited a while before I wrote a review on this because I wanted to test it out and I’d say it’s been a few months now and so far everything is great. I had the old iPad Air 11 inch model before the M1 chip and I could say the upgrade to the 13 inch M2 iPad Air is pretty good. It’s a lot faster, and I can play any of my games on a bigger screen and the battery life is amazing. I didn’t realize how much of an upgrade it was going to be until I started using it, but but it does run faster and it has great battery life a substantial amount more than the 11 inch that I use, definitely worth it. The screen is the same. The speakers are a lot better. It is USb c I got the 128GB model and it’s more than enough space to play Clash of Clans ANOTHER EDEN AFK Arena Marvel heroes and many other games. It runs Genshin great I can play call of duty on it and it’s a real workhorse. I hope this helps anyone who wants to buy it but I love it. I haven’t upgraded my iPad in a while and I got a feeling this iPad will last me a long time with the upgrading storage awesome great job Apple.
A really good upgrade from the iPad Mini 6

I was going to upgrade from my iPad mini 6 to the mini 7 but the spec bump was not enough to justify the price. John Lewis had this iPad Air on offer with £40 off the list price so it was just slightly more expensive than the new iPad mini 7. What's not to like? It has a super fast M2 chip and will be AI compatible. The images are sharper and clearer and the refresh rate is quicker than my iPad mini 6. I opted for the 11 inch as it's still portable, the 13 inch screen would be too big for me. The only downside is that my apple pencil 2 is not compatible and so it's an added cost getting the Apple Pencil Pro, also no plug suppled so you need to buy a 20W USB-C plug if you don't have one. The braided cable supplied is a nice touch. I like the larger screen compared to my old iPad mini and the battery life on the iPad Air is far better. Apple products are built to last a long time. I'm hoping my new iPad will give me 5 years of use or more before needing to upgrade again. In all I'm happy with my purchase.
