November 30, 20241. Building Experience:
The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
The process is creative and engaging, with fun techniques to make movable parts like jaws, fins, or tentacles.
The ability to build multiple models adds a lot of replayability and value.
2. Design Features:
The shark's realistic design and the use of sharp angles and colors make it visually striking.
The anglerfish's glowing "lure" (if applicable) is a standout feature.
The squid or octopus's flexible tentacles allow for imaginative poses.

December 16, 2022Lego is always wonderful. Building with LEGO bricks promotes spatial thinking and an awareness of proportions and patterns. When a child builds, his mind uses reasoning about which pieces will work best, how they should be arranged, and how big or small the creation should be. Basic LEGO bricks also teach fractions and division. From whole to half and even smaller parts, kids are learning fractions without even realizing it. Physics and engineering skills are also sneakily being developed. When a child builds a tall building or bridge he or she is learning to think in three dimensions, weight, balance and usage supports for these structures must be thought about. In more complex models, children can even learn notions of mechatronics and mechanics. When a child builds with LEGO, they are using problem-solving skills. She has to figure out which blocks work best in her construction, sometimes using trial and error. Planning and organization are other benefits. Creativity is perhaps the most obvious benefit of learning with LEGO.

November 6, 2023I bought this for my son a few birthdays ago. We found it at Dollar General for like $20. Totally worth the cost. He was excited to receive it and put it together fairly quick for his age. The jaw moved up and down, if I recall correctly. The entire body could wiggle as well. It was built in a way that it could move a three different sections. The finished product was a nice size. Small enough for him to play with but big enough to excite him. There was a tiny crab and some sea kelp that came with it to put together as well. The little arms on the crab moved too Very cute toy. I’ll add a picture later if he still has it in his room somewhere.

October 25, 2020I am terrible at breaking kits down and from looking at the box I just knew that I would want to build all 3 of the underwater creatures included in this pack so bought 3. Before opening them I presumed the additional builds would be downloadable instructions from the Lego website so went to download them. This led me to find out that there was a "secret" fourth build of the Whale. Fortunately the outlet where I purchased this kit still had one left so I snapped that up so I could build all 4. Yes, I am aware this is an ADDICTION!
On opening the packs I discovered that the pack comes with separate instruction booklets for the Shark, the Squid and the Angler Fish. Because some of the moulded pieces that are a little odd you cannot build multiple creatures from one kit and, apart from the Shark, most of them leave you with lots of spares. Good for the stash that's for sure.
The only oddity in the kit is the really strange looking crab. I honestly only made one of those but I did make a couple of the little red fishes because they are cute.
Anyone else think the whale looks like the Sperm Whale from Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy? Just Me?
Great looking builds that were a great deal of fun to create. Even better they look fab on my shelf with my other Ocean Exploration kits.
